Super super boutique coffee shop that is a great break away from the Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts theme. Kinship coffee entices you to come in with creative drinks paired with the hard to find milks in many coffee shops which include a simple oat milk. The stand out items are definitely the honey almond latte and matcha lavender. Although many coffee shops lack on some flavor, the honey taste is still very flavorful, making the latte a sweet morning kick, a nice touch outside of simple syrups.
You will also find there are a handful of pastries which include plain croissant, mixed berry muffins and more creative loaf cakes like a pecan coffee cake. You can also find a fridge of bottled items like juices if you aren't feeling any caffeine.
A coffee paired with a pastry will set you pack just about $10, very on par and definitely worth it for something different in the neighborhood before you hop on your morning commute.
This location is really just a storefront for the broadway station unlike their other locations on Steinway. Indoor seating just for three, if you're lucky to grab a seat to do work or just people watch. -

Big fan of kinship, but I was skeptical after reading the negative reviews. Stopped by for the first time today and ordered the maple brew. Just as good as the other two kinship spots and the service was solid. In and out with my drink in less than 5 minutes. Will be back soon!

I give this place five stars because my iced americano is the best I've ever had I went to their Broadway (?) location in Astoria. The only thing I didn't dig is that they only have two chairs for seating and a staff member was sitting in one having his lunch (totally okay, but please provide more seating or outdoor seating:) love this place!

The other Kinship's are much better than this location. This one has terrible customer service and have untrained baristas with zero experience. I've been charged different prices for the same purchase several times and poured curdled milk out of their pitchers each time (yet to see a barista change the milk after I flagged the issue). Save your money and go to Dunkin - owned a cafe for 15 years.

Just had awful customer service at this new location. The indifferent barista refused to make a half caf latte for me. The other two locations will do this. Hard pass on this location as the others are much much better. Also, there seems to be no AC here.
